Can the above format be easily parsed by code? Yeah, I think so. I could test the parsing on this example. This might be a better version: In pheed.md, the title for the page would be the `title:` site-wide or feed info that exists in RSS3.txt. This title would be indicated by the single pound sign. The `description:` info would be indicated the H2 double-pound sign. More site/feed info exists below the horizontal rule. The feed items would be what exists between the H2 double pound sign info and the horizontal rule. --- ### Maybe the feed file should be more like RSS3 - the Markdown feed file could also act like plumbing to be consumed by other programs if necessary. The first block of content describes the website and feed. All remaining blocks are the items of content. Blocks are separated by a blank line. Sample RSS3-like format is shown below, but the data is formatted in CommonMark (Markdown) text, instead raw text. --- title: Markdown-only Web Pages description: Readers have control over content display link: language: en-us creator: jr@sawv.org date: 2019-07-03T21:33:32Z uri: title: The Plastic Conundrum link: description: Plastic is strong and lightweight, but it's mostly based upon fossil fuels, and plastic does not biodegrade. date: 2019-06-28T21:23:18Z title: The Needs for Life link: description: This comment from a Jun 15, 2019 Hacker News thread about web rendering engine monoculture boiled down our real needs to only a few items.
